Differences between CIBV1 and CIBV2:
Improved Comfort and Ballistic Coverage: CIBV2 features an updated geometry providing enhanced comfort and ballistic protection.
Separate Pockets for Soft and Hard Armor: Plates are now inserted in a dedicated pocket within the plate bag, ensuring single access to both soft and hard armor.
Adjustable ROC Cummerbund: The ROC Cummerbund is now adjustable using a proprietary ladder system. This ladder system, constructed from polypropylene with glass fiber reinforcement, enhances durability.
Additionally, it offers an increased adjustment range based on webbing tapes. Cummerbunds will still self adjust to the user through the elastic element within the Cummerbund soft armor pocket.
Enhanced Coverage over Velcro Panels: Coverage over Velcro panels throughout the vest has been significantly increased.
Attachment and Mounting: The ROC Cummerbund is attached to the vest using a ROC Velcro adapter on the vest bag and webbing tape through ladders on the rear vest bag. The rear vest bag has been equipped with a zipper for backpack or panel attachment.
Dedicated Standard Front Panel: CIBV2 comes with a dedicated standard front panel without buckles (Velcro attachment). Front vest bags of CIBV now feature a small integrated admin pocket, which can also be used for mounting throat protection retention.
Ballistic Coverage Comparison: Compared to CIBV1, the difference in ballistic coverage is approximately 0.019 m2, primarily in the back and front panels as well as the throat.
Soft Ballistic Inserts: Soft ballistic inserts dedicated to CIBV1 will not be compatible with CIBV2.
CIBV1 Availability: Due to significant changes to this project, CIBV1 will continue to be available for purchase.
Ballistic Neck Protection: Ballistic neck protection remains largely unchanged, similar to the arm protection.
Groin Mounting: Groin mounting has been modified to use hooks and dedicated sawn webbing at the front vest bag.
